The One Coast, One Future Initiative conducted six areas of activity with the overall goal of increasing economic vitality through increased regional cooperation.  Through the research, collaborative planning, and regional implementation of six strategies, the interconnectedness and One Coast, One Future concept were highlighted and expanded. The first year of the grant wrapped up at the end of 2006. The grant will be continued into a second year. All six of the initiatives from the first year will continue through to the second year.  They are as follows:

• Health Care Cluster Analysis
• JobsNet
• WiFi
• Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS)
• Regional Marketing
• Culture and Entertainment.

In addition to these six activities, two new ones will be added:

• The Higher Education Initiative
• New Partners (strategies to engage and include underrepresented groups)
