Happy March, everyone! It is Women's History Month and the BRBC's Women's Leadership Network has teamed up with Bridgeport's Downtown Special Services District to honor some of the women impacting our community (there are many!) We will also be co-hosting a virtual panel discussion with these women on March 31. Now to introduce our first featured woman: Lucy Teixeira

Women's History Month - Spotlight on Local Women - Week 1: Lucy Teixeira

Lucy Teixeira was promoted to Vice President, Administration in May, 2013. Lucy is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources, Information Technology, Corporate Communications, and Customer Services which includes Call Center Management, Billing, and Collections.

Lucy joined Aquarion Water Company in 1990 and has progressed through numerous positions of increasing responsibility in the areas of Accounting, Human Resources, and Customer Services. Lucy is a business professional with demonstrated ability to drive business results, provides strategic leadership on business initiatives, people development, and offers leadership on implementing practical solutions to complex business, customer, communications and IT strategies.

Ms. Teixeira is a graduate of Fairfield University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business, Advanced Management Program. In addition to her professional responsibilities, Lucy serves as Chairman of the Board for United Way of Coastal Fairfield County, member of Board of Hartford HealthCare Fairfield Region and is Chairman of the HHC Fairfield Region Credentialing Committee. She is a past Board Member for the Bridgeport Rotary, CBIA Health Care Council, and Personnel Committee for LifeBridge.
