DoorDash Connecticut Overview/Services
Bridgeport Regional Business Council member, DoorDash, has been partnering with organizations and restaurants across Connecticut to provide support during the COVID-19 pandemic. Not only has DoorDash been a vital resource for restaurants during these uncertain times, but the company also worked with merchants to build long-term growth opportunities through help with marketing, access to delivery, and other resources.
DoorDash partnered with the Connecticut Restaurant Association in January, providing $500,000 to its Connecticut Restaurant Relief Fund as part of its Main Street Strong initiative to support merchants, Dashers, and local communities. In March, nearly 100 restaurants received $5,000 grants as part of the DoorDash/Connecticut Restaurant Association effort.
Additionally, DoorDash partnered with the Connecticut Department of Agriculture, The Salvation Army, and United Way to deliver food boxes to at-risk Connecticut residents during the pandemic. This service supported homebound, high-risk individuals, typically over the age of 65, and provided them with food in a safe manner. To date, DoorDash has delivered more than 7,500 boxes of more than 125,000 meals to residents in Bridgeport, Torrington, and Waterbury.

Partnership Options and Pricing Transparency for Restaurants
DoorDash offers Partnership Plans that enable restaurants to choose the specific services that would be most beneficial for their business at the price that works best for them. Participants can choose either the Basic, Plus, or Premier plan (with a delivery commission rate starting at 15%) and can add any of the products that best suit their business needs, especially as they navigate the post-pandemic world. Entrepreneurship and Access Program
Launched in 2019, DoorDash’s Entrepreneurship and Access program supports entrepreneurs from marginalized populations by providing them with access to capital, connection to capacity-building resources such as in-app features, and access to legal and marketing support. The DoorDash Community Credits program awards nonprofit organizations with DoorDash gift cards to help support missions of reducing food insecurity and encourage local participation in community programs that expand access to equal opportunity. DoorDash is committed to growing local economies and is boosting community efforts by gifting credits that can be used for youth development, entrepreneurship, workforce development programs, and more. Launched in 2018, Project DASH empowers community organizations to leverage DoorDash logistics to increase access in their communities. As a result of COVID-19 and shelter-in-place orders, a tremendous need emerged for last-mile provision of food and supplies to seniors, the immunocompromised, and families facing food insecurity or transportation barriers. DoorDash expanded Project DASH to meet the need. To date, an estimated 15 million meals have been delivered via more than 900,000 deliveries in more than 900 cities across the U.S. and Canada.
