Sponsorship opportunities offer exposure at the Expo and in the September Issue of Region Magazine which will enjoy bonus distribution at the Expo.
As last explained in this blog on June 22, we are partnering with our presenting sponsor, Webster Bank, to bring you the largest Business Expo in our region, complete with a luncheon program and an after-hours networking and cocktail reception.
This is a “Can’t Miss” event that provides BRBC members and non-members a special opportunity to showcase their products and services.
Our goal is to feature products that are “made-in” as well as services that are “unique to” our Greater Bridgeport Region. And, we also want to offer both exhibitors and non-exhibitors an opportunity to promote thier businesses beyond the Expo via our next issue of Region Magazine.
This issue will serve as a take-away from the Expo that offers members extended advertising opportunities and it will also share stories about our BRBC "makers", manufacturers, and innovators.
Jocelyn Paoletta, our Communications Director and the Publisher of the BRBC’s new Region Magazine, will be looking to feature many of our member manufacturers and local innovators in the next issue.
She is most happy to review story and photography submissions about BRBC Member companies in the region to consider for inclusion in the Magazine.
You'll see a sample cover for the fall issue. This issue will have an early print run for bonus distribution at the Expo and then be direct mailed to a select list of businesses in the region in late September - early October.
Advertisers in our inaugural issue of Region Magazine, which will be in the mail next week and online at in short order, should give a shout out to Jocelyn if they wish to run their ad again for this second issue. I know she has set up special pricing for renewing advertisers.
And, several of the Expo Sponsorship packages also offer exposure in the Fall Issue of Region Magazine.
Jocelyn can be reached at or via phone at 203.335.3800 to discuss story ideas, advertising, or expo reservations.
All in all, The Expo and Region Magazine offer two super business promotion and advertising opportunities being brought to you by the BRBC. We encourage you to take advantage of them both.

Thank you again, Bobby Valentine and Johnny Vazzano
A special treat for me as a former Barnum Festival Ringmaster (from 25 years ago: Yikes!) was the opportunity afforded me to ride in the first convertible behind the Grand Marshal of the festival’s Great Street Parade held on July 1 in Bridgeport’s Seaside Park.
That Grand Marshall was none other than Sacred Heart University’s Executive Athletic Director Bobby Valentine, who I thanked, once again, for keynoting our Annual Meeting on June 19 where we filled the ballroom at the Trumbull Marriott.
It was extremely hot at the parade, but it was great to see all the beachgoers who walked over from the beach to watch the parade.
And, hats off to Ringmaster Johnny Vazzano (left) who did a remarkable job this year as the Barnum Festival’s current (and 70th) ringmaster.
